ABOUT JBSTRCT

I am a female artist, born and raised in northern Germany with a german-american background. After finishing school, I lived in the Netherlands and the United States. For over a decade, I have called the dynamic & diverse city of Berlin my home now.

With over 17 years of dedicated passion for painting and experience, I blend self-expression and abstract concepts throughout my portfolio. Whether sketching female silhouettes with ink, charcoal and watercolor or pure abstract painings with acrylics on canvas, my work spans the realms of abstraction and expressionism.

My art predominantly focuses on the female form, celebrating it's diverse expressions of beauty and female empowerment. Simultaneously, it serves as a reflection of my innermost feelings, conveyed through pure abstract texture devoid of shapes or rules. Self-expressionism remains central to my work, expressed through various styles, colors, and mediums that mirror my emotions and infuse vitality into my artwork. This approach offers both myself and viewers room for creative interpretation in every piece, unrestricted by any limitations.

I blur boundaries between creativity and my daily life by crafting each piece in my home studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Here, I channel the city's dynamic energy into my art, crafting pieces that not only convey my personal emotions but also resonate with the city's vibrant spirit.

In essence, the aim of my portfolio is to tell a story, even though the artwork might vary in style and techniques.
It expresses a range of emotions such as joy, pain, enthusiasm, and sorrow through the captivating style of female silhouettes and total abstract artwork.

With the mixture of feelings, diversity, and authenticity in each piece of my artwork. I aim to make my art both tangible and inspiring, without any boundarys in the viewers own interpretation. My goal is to make my art accessible to a broad spectrum of art enthusiasts through the individual interpretation of each piece of my work and to also portray female empowerment.

There is no perfection, no right or wrong, each piece is subjective, the message it delivers shall always be in the eye of the beholder.
